Alt Alts

Campaign . Charity . typesetting

Creative duo Dave Cornmell and Jane Biers developed a concept for the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) to highlight the significance of alt-text for visually impaired individuals. The idea ‘Alt Alts’ was to alter alt descriptions, to capture the soul and emotion behind an image rather than just depict it.

I designed the artwork for five out-of-home executions, a Palais screen for Cannes Lions, five exhibition canvases, and social media assets. To ensure maximum accessibility, I selected Open Sans, a typeface renowned for its legibility and readability. The minimalist design allowed the beautifully written copy to take centre stage, emphasising its crucial role in making content accessible to all.
